Borders are on

I have finally added the borders onto my Bluebirds and Berries quilt.

Now to quilt it.

On My Wall

 On my design wall i have this .
It is called Confetti by Irene Blake.
This is the middle section of the quilt, so i have any 36 Hexagon blocks to do then on to the borders that have  smaller Hexagons.

I have also finished the six red stars and joined  them together,and i have 12 blue stars to do now and then the middle {hope i can have it finished before the next block arrives}.

Blocks Of The Months

 The first block of the month arrived on Friday.
This one is from Somerset Patchwork.
It is called Robins Nest.
I have decided i will hand stitch it all as there are very small pieces.

Here are three of the red stars , only three more red ones to do  then on to the 12 blue ones.

I think this is going to take a few years to do. These star blocks are 3", so they are quite small.

 Next block of the month is from Kids Quilts.
It is called Once Upon A Time

 This is block one.












The fabrics are beautiful.

Well i have plenty of stitching to do to get my though this winter.
Will keep you updated as i go along with these blocks of the months.

Why Do I DO This

 Why do i have to start another project.
I keep telling myself to finish one project then start another,but for some reason i don't listen.
I have quite a few projects on the go but most are hand stitching so i decided to get the Love Birds Quilt out of my container and start it because it can all be done on the machine.
I guess a change in projects is good.{well thats what i tell myself}.

Bluebirds and Berries

I have finished sewing all the blocks together, now to finish the stitching  , only four more to do .

The weather has turned a bit nasty here with rain and thunderstorms, so i don't mind staying indoors.
Maybe i can get some hand stitching done before i have to head off to work.

On My Wall

I have started Gail Pans Berries and Bluebirds quilt.

I have done five blocks and stitched three of them  only three more blocks to go.

Look What The Postie Brought

Yesterday the postie dropped of the new Country Threads Stitchery magazine and look what i found in it.

This quilt is called Ollie's Quilt. I made it using a jelly roll and a basic cream background.

This quilt is named after my grandma who's name is called Olive.

So keep a lookout for this magazine which is out this month.
